Default 1.12 Hammerdin help

Just started playing USWest again and was hoping that I could get some help. I checked out that hammerdin sticky, but it seems a little out-dated. But I was wondering what skills and gear for endgame success. Any help will be appreciated.

hammerdins havent really changed at all.

the only real difference is that spirits are easier to get hold of on NL now.

Hammerdins will be changing a little in 1.13 due to Blessed Hammer losing its "ignores magic immunities of demons and undeads" property, so if you stick with a Hammerdin on Nonladder, you will want to make sure your mercenary is properly geared.

the hammerdin itself won't change at all, and the merc very little.

just get a high damage insight and you're set
