I use to love using ACOG, but the vertical recoil on the thing became a bitch and the frame of the ACOG creates a lot of blindspots on the screen, I'd stick use Red Dot instead. However, I'd personally ditch any sight-attachments if the gun has a clean sight. For me, the ACR has beautifully clean sights on their own, so I don't need to worry about throwing on a Red Dot or ACOG on it. I love the Silencer attachment... I have the ability to hit/kill someone without lighting up light a Christmas tree on the map. That's actually my playstyle, to discreetly kill and stay undetected. I'm actually thinking about ditching Akimbo secondaries and going with a Silcenced SPAZ12 or w/e that shotty is.
As for perks... if you don't have any trouble with ammo, stick with Sleight of Hand. For myself, my ACR (Silencer) is what keeps my killstreak going, so I take Scavenger to ensure I always have bullets. I could easily pick up an opponent's gun but then I lose out on my playstyle. Stopping power is a must (though I sometimes opt to ditch it for Hardline or Cold Blooded if the base damage on my weapon is high enough; I don't mind losing some damage to get those added benefits). If you use headphones, Ninja is a must. Hear footsteps better and yours become silent. If you enjoy running out of windows and jumping from high places, stick with Commando.
I defintely perfer Demolition over TDM. TDM is capped at 75 kills, I racked up 69 kills playing Demolition that day lol. You should give it a go with me sometime.
As for getting better... what's your loadout?
Offline multiplayer bots should be there. Gears of War 2 has offline bots, Killzone 2 has offline bots... but I guess Infinity Ward is so arrogant that their players just play online that they didn't care to add them in. I doubt we'll ever see them, DLC will most likely be more maps, and if we're lucky, more Spec-Op missions.
My loadout is...
ACR w/ Silencer
Akimbo G18's (Waiting to get Akimbo Model 1887's)
Semtex
Stun Grenade
Scavenger
Stopping Power
Ninja
Martyrdom
Predator Missile
Harrier
Chopper Gunner
MW2 on Veteran wasn't that bad to be honest; it actually my first playthrough. Spec-Ops is whats a bitch, basically preventing me from the Platinum at this point. World at War Veteran, however, is a fucking morale drain. It's merciless. Online can be tough at first. When I first started I blew chunks... my KD/R was always 0.6-0.8 lol. But after a while you get use to it... in most games I usually go either 1.5-2.5 now.
Do you have a Mic? I have one exam left (Wednesday) then I'm basically free until September, minus work. I'm trying to find an internship with a bank or accounting firm though, so that may reduce my gaming even more.
- I heard MM10 is a lot easier than MM9
- I platinum'd God of War III, it's amazing
- Do you and your brother Gameshare? If he already has PSN Games, just log on his account and download it... you can download something up to 5 times
Are you gonna buy Super Street Fighter IV in April? It's MSRP, iirc, is $45.
- Uncharted 1 and 2 are definite buys, same with God of War III
- RE5, try it, and if you like it, buy it
- GTA IV is a must if you haven't played it, RDR is GTA IV in the old west lol
- As for the Fallout 3 DLC... I'd actually consider selling Fallout 3 and just picking up the GOTY edition. It comes with all 5 DLCs and is cheaper than having the regular game and buying the DLC individually.
- Castle Crashers isn't out yet, but that's a def buy lol
- Fat Princess is alright, but unless you have a mic and are playing with other tactical minded people, it becomes boring
- Mega Man 10, is that even a question? You're the retro guy, so it's a def buy
I haven't really been on my PS3 as of late, it's mostly been my brother. Anyways, what games do you have? My exams end Apr 22nd, so we could go pwn some noobs on MW2 or something lol.
