How to brighten your monitor through "Properties" (When using an ATI VGA Card)
Ok, I have a really jank monitor, and on 100% brightness, it's still very dark. My dad showed me a way to brighten the monitor even further through "Properties", and I will now explain how to do so, in five simple steps.
Step 1:
On your desktop, right click and go to "Properties".
Step 2:
Once in properties, click on the "Settings" tab.
Step 3:
Under "Settings", click "Advanced".
Step 4:
Once here, click the "Color" tab.
Step 5:
Here you can adjust brightness, contrast, and gamma even further. No more dark monitors for you!

All descen vidio cards hve these options, you just have to hunt a little

lol this will probably only wortk for half the people here. If that. My video card is decent doesnt have this option.
